Inertia Enterprises has raised $450 million in Series A funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, to advance its commercial fusion energy project. Founded in 2024 and based in Livermore, California, the company plans to build a fusion pilot plant using technology proven at the National Ignition Facility. This funding will support the development of its Thunderwall laser system and a production line for mass-manufacturing fusion fuel targets, aiming for commercial-scale fusion energy within the next decade.
