The Isojoen data center project has progressed with a letter of intent signed by Isojoki municipality and Isojoki Data Center Oy at Lauhansarvi Nature Tourism Center. The designated land for the data center spans 180 hectares, significantly larger than the nearly ten hectares allocated for a data center in Vaasa.

The site is located adjacent to the memorial for Kyllikki Saari, who was murdered in the 1950s, with a rectangular area left open around the memorial. The agreement stipulates a price of ten million euros for the land, contingent on the project securing an end user.
