In 2025, the Instituto de Tecnologia em Informática e Informação do Estado de Alagoas (Itec) significantly modernized the technological infrastructure of the Alagoas State Government by implementing a Modular Datacenter and deploying a government cloud. The establishment of a Security Operations Center and the creation of a General Data Protection Law Portal further enhanced security, while strategic systems like the Integrated Management System were introduced. Itec's president, Christiano Mendonça, was also appointed vice-president of the Brazilian Association of State Entities of Information Technology and Communication, strengthening Alagoas' representation in public technology.
