Jefferies Reports Easing Bottleneck in Natural Gas Equipment Supply from GE, Siemens, and Mitsubishi

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Jefferies states that gas turbine manufacturers GE Vernova, Siemens, and Mitsubishi have expanded capacity in response to rising demand for power, particularly from data centers. The firm projects at least 19 GW of equipment capacity available by 2028, increasing to 49 GW and 76 GW by 2029 and 2030. Behind-the-meter generation is seen as a more immediate solution for large loads, with expected growth of 25 GW by 2030, while large-frame turbine manufacturers remain heavily booked for the next few years.
