Karman Industries Launches CO2 Cooling System for AI Data Centers

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Karman Industries has launched a 10 MW thermal processing unit (HPU) that uses CO2 to cool AI data centers while recycling waste heat, offering a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional air cooling systems. The modular HPUs can operate on 800 VDC power and are designed without PFAS chemicals, with expected shipments beginning in Q3 2026. Following a $20 million Series A funding round, Karman's total funding now exceeds $30 million, with production capacity scalable from 1 GW to 4 GW per year.
