Kazakhstan plans to construct three nuclear power plants to enhance its energy security and rectify its status as a leading uranium producer without NPPs, according to President Qassym-Schomart Toqajew. The first plant will be built by Russia's Rosatom in the Almaty region, with additional sites proposed in the Shambyl district and on the Caspian Sea coast.
