Keele University Launches Green Hydrogen Generation Hub Using Renewable Energy

Keele University has inaugurated a green hydrogen generation hub that harnesses excess renewable energy from its campus, utilizing an electrolyser powered by two wind turbines and 12,200 solar panels. This initiative aims to enhance hydrogen technology research and contribute to a low carbon economy, with the produced hydrogen currently fueling two Toyota Mirai vehicles in the university's fleet. The launch event attracted representatives from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, emphasizing the project's role in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
