Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) won the grand prize at the 2025 Public Sector AX Innovation Awards held at Yonsei University for its project on realizing an AI-based super-gap nuclear power company. The awards, co-hosted by Yonsei University and the Korean Policy Studies Association, aim to promote digital innovation in public institutions.

KHNP was recognized for its systematic AX policy development, creative strategies, and effective implementation, achieving significant results. The company is focused on AI transformation to enhance operational efficiency, ensure safe nuclear plant operations, and boost export competitiveness. KHNP has developed a specialized large-scale generative AI for nuclear plants, applying AI across various business sectors, including construction, power operations, and renewable energy.
