LG Uplus and GS E&C Sign Renewable Energy Contract for Carbon-Neutral Data Center

LG Uplus has entered into a renewable energy contract with GS Engineering & Construction to power its headquarters and data center with approximately 17 GWh of solar energy annually for 20 years, aiming for carbon neutrality. This initiative, which is set to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 7,000 tons per year, aligns with the government's RE100 policy and includes plans to supply an additional 10MW of renewable energy annually starting in 2027. The partnership underscores LG Uplus's commitment to managing renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions across its facilities.
