Light Source Communications Launches 240-Mile Dark Fiber Network in Indianapolis
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Light Source Communications (LSC) announces a new 240-mile dark fiber network in the Indianapolis area, designed for hyperscalers and enterprises to support GPU-dense workloads. The network will include five high-capacity fiber rings, connecting approximately 20 municipalities and several data centers.
Demand is driven by growth in AI and High-Performance Computing, with multiple global hyperscalers as anchor tenants. The project is set for completion by Q3 2027, with all infrastructure being constructed underground for security and reliability.
