Lisle Village has granted a special use permit for a 50-megawatt co-location data center as part of the Technology Center Planned Unit Development. The approval includes several waivers from local regulations, such as increased building height limits and reduced landscaping requirements, while also omitting pedestrian connectivity to public sidewalks. The project will also receive exemptions related to landscaping requirements along property lines adjacent to both residential and nonresidential areas.
