Swedavia's annual procurement of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) included Luleå Municipality and Aviator for the first time, while SOS Alarm participated for the sixth consecutive year. The initiative aims to reduce aviation's fossil climate impact, with SAF capable of cutting emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional jet fuel.

A total of 300 tonnes of SAF was ordered for 2025, with 215 tonnes for Swedavia. Swedavia aims for fossil-free domestic aviation by 2030 and international traffic by 2045.
