Maranhão to Host Brazil's First Green Data Center Focused on AI Development

Maranhão will establish Brazil's first green data center aimed at AI development within the future Export Processing Zone (ZPE-MA). The initiative, resulting from an agreement between SEDEPE and TED IA, will operate on renewable energy sources. The data center will collaborate with universities for talent development and technological dissemination, enhancing the local digital ecosystem and contributing to national digital sovereignty and cybersecurity.
