Maringá City Council Approves Land Sale for Data Center and Free Trade Zone
The Maringá City Council unanimously approved a law allowing the municipality to sell nearly 50 hectares in Gleba Pinguim for a Data Center and a Free Trade Zone, supported by the Prodem Economic Development Program. The land sales will be conducted through public auction, with proceeds directed to Prodem.
Minimum prices will be determined by a municipal appraisal, and sales will include discounts per Prodem conditions. Additionally, a separate law altering incentives for companies and auction bid criteria was also approved and will be discussed in a subsequent session. The land, measuring 491,271 m², is adjacent to Maringá Regional Airport and aims to attract software development companies and industrial investment.
