McDuffie County has proposed a 200-acre data center project called 'Project Azalea,' located near Randall Hunt Road and an electrical substation. The county has submitted a zoning request and is awaiting a review from the Central Savannah River Regional Commission, with a public hearing scheduled for March 3. Comments from this hearing will be considered by the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners during another hearing on March 17.
