Mediterra Acquires Open Hub Med Data Center in Sicily

Mediterra has acquired Open Hub Med, a carrier-neutral data center facility in Palermo, Sicily. The acquisition aims to support Mediterra's expansion strategy in Italy and Southern Europe, with the transaction expected to close by Q1 2026.
Open Hub Med operates a 2MW, 1,000 sqm facility, expandable to 4MW and 4,000 sqm. Mediterra plans to enhance the site’s capacity and infrastructure to support digital transformation in the region.
