DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Mexico's federal government has launched Plan México 2025-2030, aimed at integrating the country into global semiconductor, aerospace, and AI value chains, with goals to double local semiconductor supply and attract US$10 billion in investments. Key initiatives include CloudHQ's planned US$4.8 billion investment in data centers and a government investment of MX$6 billion in a supercomputer to bolster AI capabilities, despite challenges posed by a shortage of specialized talent. The plan also proposes partnerships with major tech firms to establish a Public Center for AI.
