The Negeri Sembilan government plans to develop new alternative water sources for industrial use, including three data centers in Nilai, Sungai Gadut, and Springhill. Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun stated that two locations for these sources have been identified, with a third under discussion.

The initiative aims to ensure that local residents' water supply is not affected. Additionally, the state government has allocated RM50 million to replace old pipes and address burst pipe issues. The Ngoi-Ngoi Water Treatment Plant Phase 2 will support over 80,000 accounts and produce 150 million liters of treated water per day.
