Neurophos Secures $110 Million Funding to Expand AI Chip Operations in Austin and Silicon Valley

Neurophos Inc., an Austin-based AI chipmaker, has raised $110 million in funding, bringing its total to $118 million, with support from Microsoft Corp. and led by Gates Frontier. The funds will be used to expand its headquarters, hire 80 new employees, and establish a new engineering site in Silicon Valley, while developing energy-efficient optical processing units (OPUs) for data centers, with initial systems expected by early 2028.
