NextDC Secures Development Approval for M4 Campus in Melbourne, Australia

DEFENSEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

NextDC has received development approval from the Victorian Government for its M4 campus in Port Melbourne, Australia, with an investment of approximately AU$2 billion. The facility will cover 50,000 sqm and provide 150MW of data center capacity, featuring an AI Factory designed for sovereign AI. The project aims to create high-skilled jobs and support advanced manufacturing and defense initiatives, with phased development beginning in 2025.
