Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino has voiced opposition to a proposed $1.5 billion data center campus by Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC, which promises to generate $414 million in tax revenue and create 550 permanent jobs. Instead, he supports a 7,000-seat arena project that currently lacks financing and feasibility, despite the data center offering $20 million in annual taxes compared to the arena's potential cost of $17 million annually to the city.
