Nokia and Hypertec have launched the Nibi supercomputing cluster at the University of Waterloo, supporting over 4,000 researchers annually and marking Nokia's first AI-HPC data center networking deployment in North America. Integrated into the SHARCNET high-performance computing environment, the project aims to enhance research in health, climate science, engineering, and AI, while showcasing Canada's capability in developing competitive AI research infrastructure. The Nibi system employs Nokia's Data Center Fabric and Hypertec's advanced cooling technologies, bolstering Canada's standing in global computer science and innovation.
