Nova Sustainable Fuels has received conditional approval from Nova Scotia's Minister of Environment and Climate Change for its Goldboro Renewable Energy Park project, which aims to produce sustainable aviation fuel and renewable methanol. The facility is expected to generate 165,000 tonnes of aviation fuel annually, significantly reducing carbon emissions, while utilizing 750,000 tonnes of woody biomass and requiring substantial water resources. The project is financed by Octopus Energy Generation, which oversees a portfolio valued at over $10 billion CDN.
