DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

NTT Data, through its subsidiary NTT Global Data Centers EMEA GmbH, plans to build the NTT Frankfurt 6 data center in Rheinhessen, Germany, with a total capacity of 482 MW, making it one of the largest in Europe. The facility will benefit from proximity to DE-CIX for internet connectivity and nearby 110-kV power lines for electricity supply.

Construction is set to begin in 2026, with a building permit expected in 2027 and operations planned for 2029. NTT GDC is also developing the Frankfurt 4 data center with a capacity of 70 MW. Additionally, the Schwarz Group is constructing a 200 MW data center, while larger projects, such as the Start Campus Sines in Portugal with 1,200 MW and Brookfield's Stockholm project with 750 MW, are underway. The NTT Frankfurt 6 plans include a 90 MW wind park for renewable energy and utilize waste heat, although details are pending.
