OMV has secured €123 million in funding for a 140MW green hydrogen plant in Bruck an der Leitha, Austria, through a partnership with Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH. The facility, set to produce 23,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually using Siemens Energy PEM electrolysers, aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions at OMV's Schwechat refinery. Operations are expected to begin by the end of 2027, with a joint venture involving Masdar to be finalized in early 2026.
