Patmos Hosting has acquired the former Kansas City Star building to establish an AI campus and tech hub in Kansas City, Missouri, supported by a $100 million clean energy loan for upgrades. The 421,000 sq. ft. facility will feature data center operations, co-working spaces, and plans for commercial office space and an event venue, targeting mid-market customers with smaller colocation options. Construction commenced in late 2024, with completion anticipated later this year.
