DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) to enhance investment in the Philippines. The agreement, signed on December 11, designates PAIH as PEZA's investment promotion partner to attract investments to ecozones.

PEZA aims to create an environment for investment collaboration and project development. A second MOU was signed with PAIH on behalf of Polish company JPP Marine for a feasibility study on potential ecozone sites for investment and partnerships with PEZA-registered shipbuilders.

PEZA highlighted plans for a ₱3.9 billion data center in Camarines Norte and a start-up developing air and water purification technology. The collaboration aims to foster technology-driven investments contributing to industrial transformation and bolster bilateral trade, which saw Philippine exports to Poland at $252.92 million and imports at $367.11 million last year.
