ABC Planning has approved a free-range poultry shed for 28,000 hens in Middletown, Northern Ireland. The facility, proposed by Marcus McCall and designed by Henry Marshall Brown Architectural Partnership, will include feed bins and site works with a floor area of 3031.0125 m².

Emission rates for ammonia have been reduced, and the applicant plans to remove poultry litter weekly and export it to Scotland. The development is expected to support the long-term viability of the existing livestock farm.
