Plug Power Inc. has successfully installed 100 MW of PEM GenEco electrolyzers at Galp's Sines Refinery in Portugal, a key development in Europe's renewable hydrogen initiatives. The project, which began in October 2025, aims to produce up to 15,000 tons of renewable hydrogen annually, replacing about 20% of the refinery's grey hydrogen and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 110,000 tons per year. This installation is part of Plug Power's broader strategy to expand its presence in the European market.
