Prince George Council Approves Support for Tidewater's Aviation Fuel Project
SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL
The Prince George Council has unanimously approved a letter of support for Tidewater Renewables' proposed sustainable aviation fuel facility, which aims to produce 6,500 barrels per day of low carbon jet fuel. The project, adjacent to Tidewater's renewable diesel refinery, is expected to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and create 60 permanent jobs, with construction anticipated to begin in mid-2027. Tidewater is seeking provincial funding and awaits a final investment decision in Q2 2026.
