Quimper Bretagne occidentale has initiated the development of a local data center, named Hermineo, in Créac'h Gwen as part of a public service delegation renewal. The project, costing 600,000 euros, supplements an existing data center and aims to provide enhanced data protection amidst rising cybercrime concerns.

Quimper communauté télécom is responsible for marketing this service to telecommunications operators. The new data center is integrated into the Hermineo network, which consists of 140 km of fiber infrastructure established over the past 20 years.
