Redwire Corporation has secured an eight-figure contract to provide two International Docking System Standard-compliant docking systems for The Exploration Company's Nyx spacecraft. The contract involves Redwire's International Berthing and Docking Mechanism, enabling autonomous rendezvous and docking for the reusable spacecraft.

Developed in Belgium with international partners and the European Space Agency, the mechanism supports standardized docking operations. Redwire's offices in Belgium and Poland are also working on a similar system for the lunar Gateway's International Habitat project. The Exploration Company is developing Nyx as a reusable, in-orbit-refuelable vehicle for cargo transport and exploration missions, ensuring compatibility with standardized docking environments for future missions.
