Rio de Janeiro plans to acquire an NVIDIA supercomputer this year as part of the Rio AI City project, aimed at enhancing urban life through AI solutions. The initiative, led by Mayor Eduardo Paes, will involve a consortium of local universities to develop AI tools and promote digital literacy, ensuring equitable access to technology while addressing social inequalities. The supercomputer will be installed in Porto Maravilha in the latter half of the year.
