FUSION & ADVANCED NUCLEAR POWER
Romania's Ministry of Energy has scheduled a vote for February 12, 2026, on the investment decision for a Small Modular Reactors (SMR) project at Doicești, which will involve the installation of six NuScale SMRs totaling 462 MW. Nuclearelectrica and Nova Power & Gas co-own the project, expected to create 200 permanent jobs and 1,500 during construction, supported by a $99 million commitment from the U.S.
Export-Import Bank. This initiative is part of Romania's strategy to triple its nuclear energy generation capacity by 2050.
