FUSION & ADVANCED NUCLEAR POWER
Russia has deferred the debt repayment for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project by 1.5 years, with the first installment now due on September 15, 2028, following amendments to the Intergovernmental Credit Agreement. This extension ensures the financial continuity of the project, which is on track to begin electricity generation for Bangladesh's national grid next year. The bilateral trade between Russia and Bangladesh has surpassed $2 billion annually, highlighting their strong economic ties, particularly in energy cooperation.
