SAE Transfers 'El Manantial' Site in Santa Marta for Major Data Center Construction

The Sociedad de Activos Especiales (SAE) has transferred 3.5 hectares of the 'El Manantial' site in Santa Marta to Central de Inversiones S.A. for the construction of one of Colombia's largest data centers. This property, formerly owned by José 'El Mono' Abello, is part of assets recovered by the state through domain extinction processes and is currently managed by the SAE.

The site, approximately 35,000 square meters, is strategically located in an urban expansion area, facilitating high-impact technological and social projects. The data center initiative will be developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, positioning Santa Marta as a key player in enhancing technological infrastructure and knowledge economy in Colombia.
