The Saline City Council has enacted a one-year moratorium on data center construction to assess the long-term impacts of such facilities on the community. During this period, no data center projects will be approved or reviewed, while city staff will study relevant laws and propose amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. City Manager Dan Swallow indicated that the moratorium could be extended if progress toward new regulations is made.
