Samsung Launches PM9E1 Gen5 SSD with 4 TB Capacity and 14.5 GB/s Speeds in M.2 2242 Form Factor

Samsung has introduced the PM9E1 Gen5 SSD, offering 4 TB of storage and read speeds up to 14.5 GB/s in a compact M.2 2242 form factor, optimized for AI applications. This new SSD boasts a 45% improvement in power efficiency over previous models, achieving sequential read and write speeds of 14,500 MB/s and 12,600 MB/s, respectively. Additionally, it supports SPDM v1.2 security protocols and is qualified for use in NVIDIA's DGX Spark desktop AI supercomputer.
