Shell Energy Europe Secures Renewable Power for Hydrogen Electrolyser in Germany

Shell Energy Europe has signed two power purchase agreements to secure renewable energy for a hydrogen electrolyser project in Germany, funded by the REFHYNE II initiative. The agreements with Nordsee One and Solarkraftwerk Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf will enable the electrolyser at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland to produce up to 44 tonnes of renewable hydrogen daily, aimed at decarbonizing operations by 2027.
