SK Telecom has entered a collaboration with Supermicro to develop a global AI data center business, formalized at Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona. Supermicro will provide servers for SK Telecom's AI data centers, which will incorporate AI technology into communication networks.

The partnership also includes the integration of AI chips from SK Telecom subsidiary Sapeon. Additionally, SK Telecom's investment in GPU cloud company Lambda aims to enhance its AI data center capabilities.
