Slovenia has launched the Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Factory (SLAIF), featuring a next-generation supercomputer, aimed at enhancing competitiveness and technological excellence. Prime Minister Robert Golob highlighted the importance of integrating expert knowledge into the economy, making the system accessible to industry and potentially to citizens for a national generative AI platform. The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Commission, with the supercomputer expected to replace the EuroHPC Vega system by 2027.
