Softbank and OpenAI Invest $1B in SB Energy for Texas Data Center Development

Softbank and OpenAI are jointly investing $1 billion in SB Energy to develop a 1.2GW data center in Milam County, Texas, set to begin operations in 2026. The project is supported by an additional $800 million from Ares for infrastructure development, and SB Energy will become a major customer of OpenAI.
