Stack Overflow Completes Cloud Migration, Exits New Jersey Data Center

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Stack Overflow has completed its cloud migration by exiting its New Jersey data center, which had been in operation for 16 years. This transition, part of 'Project Ascension' to Google Cloud, follows previous challenges faced during earlier migrations and is aimed at enhancing operational flexibility rather than cutting costs. The closure of the New Jersey site, which housed around 50 servers, follows the decommissioning of a Colorado facility earlier this year.
