Starwood Seeks to Acquire Fairfax County Land for Data Center Development

Starwood aims to purchase 41.7 acres of county-owned police training land in Fairfax County, Virginia, for $166.8 million to develop a data center. The Fairfax County board has authorized a public meeting regarding the sale, scheduled for March 17, 2026.

Proceeds from the sale will fund a modernized police training campus, improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs. Starwood, which has a dedicated data center unit, also has over $17 billion in digital infrastructure commitments globally.
