Swiss Army Delays KASTRO II Data Center Completion to 2035
DEFENSEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
The Swiss Federal Department of Defense has postponed the KASTRO II data center project in Mitholz until 2035 due to funding issues. Initially expected to be operational by 2023, the facility is part of a CHF510 million upgrade of military data centers. Construction will now start in 2033, providing a command node for the Swiss Army's new data network.
