Topsoe has partnered with Tangshan Jinlihai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to provide its Hydroflex® technology for a new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in Tangshan, China, which will convert 300,000 tons of waste oils annually into SAF and renewable diesel. The project aims to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, avoiding approximately 700,000 metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions each year, and is set to begin construction in late 2026, with commercial operations expected by late 2028. This marks Topsoe's sixth SAF contract in China, bolstering its commitment to the country's low-carbon aviation initiatives.
