Turner Construction Co. and McCarthy Building Companies have been appointed general contractors for Phase 2 of the $15 billion Lighthouse data center project in Port Washington, Wisconsin, developed by Vantage Data Centers. This phase will generate over 4,000 construction jobs and 1,000 permanent positions, while focusing on sustainability and supporting tech companies like OpenAI and Oracle. The project, which includes four data center buildings and aims for completion by 2028, is currently under review by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin for additional power lines to meet anticipated electricity demands.
