Uganda Aims to Triple Aviation Capacity and Boost Sustainable Fuel Production by 2030
SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL
Uganda's aviation sector plans to triple passenger capacity and produce over 300 million liters of sustainable fuel by 2030, supported by infrastructure upgrades and 64 international air service agreements. Entebbe International Airport is set to increase its annual capacity from 2 million to 3.5 million passengers starting January 2026, following a surge in international traffic. Despite funding challenges, the government is focused on enhancing service standards and preparing for major aviation events while advancing its regulatory framework.
