Verdantas has submitted a land use application for a new data center in New Castle County, Newark, Delaware, located on a 44-acre site currently occupied by the White Clay Center Industrial Park. The proposal includes consolidating seven existing buildings into two, alongside the construction of light industrial buildings, a guard house, switchyard, and other improvements.

The project is in the early stages of approval. Delaware's appeal for data center development is increasing due to its favorable tax structure and other competitive advantages, as noted by the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, highlighting the growing demand for data centers across the US.
