Westinghouse Electric Company has partnered with Tetra Tech Canada to develop AP1000 and AP300 reactor projects in Ontario, enhancing Westinghouse's project capabilities with Tetra Tech's engineering expertise. This collaboration follows a request from the Ontario government for Ontario Power Generation to explore new nuclear energy generation at Wesleyville, with an Initial Project Description already submitted. While no reactor technology has been finalized, the AP1000, known for its advanced safety systems, is among the options under consideration.
